Opal-oiled oak

The EK61 pendant Ø34 cm from Carl Hansen & Søn is made from mouth-blown opal glass with handmade oak details. The fixture was designed by Espen Klint in 1961 but is only now being produced in glass, instead of plastic, which was the original idea, and evokes a timeless interpretation of traditional Chinese lanterns. The softly pleated form and diffused light of the EK61 lamp create a pleasant atmosphere, making the lamp ideal over a dining table, in a reading nook, or as a beautiful detail in a dark corner.
